A couple of days ago I received a special package all the way from England. Mommy and Daddy put together a little video of me opening up the goodies inside, so check it out.

Thank you very much to Nannan, Grandad, Karen, Shane, David, Carl, Jodie, Great Nannan and Great Grandad for all my wonderful gifts. I've been having fun with my new Avie Bear, although my original is still my bestest buddy, she loves the little blanket that she has now.

Mommy and Daddy are taking me to see Elmo live at the weekend, so I will be sure to post about that next week.

Living in Ottawa

Well, Mommy, Daddy and I made the big move to Ottawa on January 2nd. We moved into a new house here so that Mommy could start her new job. I was sad to leave Nanny, Papa, Lizzy, Sheri and Kelsie at first, but I am adjusting to our new home more and more every day. Here's my new bedroom:

I really like my new room, in fact, we just made some major changes in it today! Since I turned 2 years old on January 15th, Mommy, Daddy and I decided that it was time that I get to have a BIG GIRL BED!!!!!!!!

Isn't that cool!?? Tonight will be my first time sleeping in my big girl bed. It'll be a big change, but, I think that I will really like it.

I've been meeting all kinds of new people here in Ottawa. I got to meet some people from Mommy's work when I went for a visit. I really like it there, there are all kinds of cool things to look at. I also made 2 new friends, Caleb and Camille. They are brother and sister. Caleb is 2 like me and Camille is only 6 months old. I went to play with them a couple of weekends ago. Here are some pictures of me and Caleb having FUN!

I really liked playing with Caleb, he was really nice about sharing his toys with me. I will hopefully get to see him next weekend, I think we all might be going to see "Seasame Street Live: Elmo Makes Music" together. That should be a BLAST!!!!

Well, that's about it for now, I'm going to go play with Daddy now in my new playroom. I just want to say that I miss you Nanny, Papa, Lizzy, Sheri and Kelsie in New Brunswick...and I miss you Nannan, Grandad, Karen, Shane, David, Carl and especially Jodie in England. You'll all have to come and visit us in our new house soon!!!

It's been so long since I updated my Blog, I'm too busy being big and clever to have time to make any posts. I've been learning a lot over the last few months, so I thought I should finally show off my skills to Nannan and Grandad and everyone else that can't be around.

Shame Daddy's memory is not that great huh?

Mommy and Daddy have been encouraging me to learn some sign language, so that I can tell them what I want without getting frustrated. Although I move my lips and make noise all the time, just like they do. I don't get why they don't understand me when I just yell at them.

1 YEAR OLD!

Today I turned 1 year old, how exciting! My first year has flown by so fast, Mommy and Daddy can't believe how big I have gotten in such a short amount of time. I'm learning to stand up all by myself now and getting to be so confident crawling around in my new home.

Because Aunt Sheri was leaving today, I had a little party on Sunday so that she could be there too. Here's me wearing my party hat, which I kept on my head for quite a while believe it or not...

I had so much fun opening all my presents...

I couldn't believe that I was allowed to tuck into it all by myself. That yellow stuff was so yummy.

What cake? I didn't see any cake...

These balloon things were so much fun, although Mommy and Daddy were scared I would pop one and be forever scared of them. But look at them, I could hit myself in the head and it didn't hurt hehehe.

So all that's left to say is a BIG thank you to everyone for all my wonderful gifts. THANK YOU!

Happy New Year

Yes it is 2008, Christmas and the New Year have been so much fun and it has been a busy time for me. What with me being so small and being the center of attention and all hehehe. I had a great Christmas, I got soooo many presents on Christmas day. I'm such a lucky girl.

Before Christmas Mommy dressed me up in a pretty dress for a photoshoot with some Christmas decorations, I loved these little presents.

Mommy and Daddy were right in the middle of moving us all into a new home over Christmas, so we didn't get to put up a tree in our apartment, but Nanny and Papa had a big tree at their house, they even let me play with some of the decorations.

Then came Christmas day. That big pile of gifts looked interesting and all but I found these bad boys hidden away in a corner, these were much more fun...

Just kidding, the gifts were the best, but opening them was a little daunting at first. I wasn't really sure if I was allowed to rip all that paper, turns out though that not only is it allowed but encouraged on Christmas day YAY!

I had so many presents that it took me quite a while to open them all, so by the end of it I was pretty tired. This next gift was so much fun though that it woke me right up again.

Later that day after my afternoon nap. I got dressed up in my Santa's little helper outfit while I played with all my new toys.

Over the next few days Mommy made sure she got me to model some of my pretty new outfits...

As if Christmas wasn't enough fun, I will be turning 1 year old tomorrow, so stay tuned for updates on my birthday party!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN Everyone! I got to be an ELEPHANT for Halloween this year! We went over to Nanny and Papa Wall's house to help hand out candy to all the kids. I had lots of fun! I can't wait to go trick or treating next year!

Well, I must say...my first Halloween was great....but now I am tuckered out! Nighty night! :)

The Adventures of Avie

I am starting to get so big, Mommy and Daddy can't even believe it. I've become quite the little explorer recently, not only have I been on journeys through the living room and all the way to the kitchen on my own, but I've now taken on a new hobby of mountain climbing!

Since tackling Blue Chair Mountain I've taken on some even bigger challenges, like Green Leg Table. Unfortunately though, Mommy and Daddy lowered the mattress in my crib the day before I learned to climb, otherwise I would have made my escape from behind those bars, guess I'll just have to keep practicing.

Fall Fun!

Well, September has been a pretty fun month so far, and it's only going to get better at the end of the month once Nannan and Grandad Lancaster arrive from England! Can you believe it??? Two whole weeks with Nannan and Grandad here in Canada! We're going to have soooo much fun! :)

Here are a few pictures to show you what I have been up to lately. First off, here I am with one of my new favorite toys...Daddy's juggling balls! Daddy is really good at juggling, I hope I can juggle like he can someday......

....until then....I think I'll just EAT them! Hahaha!

Mommy, on the other hand, is a little prankster.....look below to see what SHE did with the juggling balls! Hahaha!

Hahahhaa! Daddy didn't quite know what to think....but I thought it was FUNNY! :)

I also attended my very first birthday party for my friend Kaylyn. She was turning One years old. Here I am when we first got there and Kaylyn came over to say HI!

I've also been busy squirming around on the floor lately. I've gotten pretty good at it...here I am underneath the coffee table in the living room. Soon I'll be making forts under there, I'm sure! :)

In other news...I have 4, count em, FOUR new teeth coming in in my top gums! It can be a bit painful at times, but Mommy and Daddy said that I have been really good about it. Soon I'll be eating all kinds of goodies with my new teeth! YAY!

I Miss You Aunt Sheri!

For the past few weeks, Auntie Sheri was here visiting from Ontario. It's the first time that I've seen Auntie Sheri since February. It was so nice to see her again and to spend time with her. 7 Months Old!!!

Happy Birthday to meeeeee! Can you believe that I am 7 months old today!??? I now have a couple of my bottom teeth budding AND I can sit up on my own....with Mommy or Daddy not too far away that is! :) Here are some pictures of how big I am and how I can sit up tall.

Busy, Busy Summer!

Wow! I can't believe that the summer is almost over! I've had a blast this summer with everyone. We went to Sydney, where I got to meet my new baby cousin, Ava! We're going to be great friends. We went to some nature parks, some wildlife parks, and I even got to see a baby miniature horse and his mommy! I've splashed a ton in my pool, Nanny and Papa Wall bought me a new swing which I LOVE, and now, Auntie Sheri is home for a visit! It's been a lot of fun, and I thought it would be nice to show you a few pictures of what I've been up to this summer, so here they are!

Swimmin'!!!

Well, it's been awhile since Mommy has posted any new pictures of me, but we've been so busy enjoying the SUMMER! Mommy and Daddy set up my very first swimming pool the other day at Nanny & Papa's house. I thought it was pretty interesting having a splash in my pool. Here are some pictures!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

YAY for the SUMMER! I've been having so much fun with Mommy and Daddy so far this summer, and it's only just begun! I wanted to post a few pictures and videos to show you what we've been up to.

First off, we went to the Irving Nature Park last week for a walk through the woods. It was so pretty there, and there were lots of squirrels running all over the place. Here are a few scenery pics from our walk through the nature trails:

I was really enjoying all the fresh air and the walk was so much fun! Here I am with Mommy and Daddy in front of a lake.

And here's another picture of me...don't I look happy?? :)

We took this video for Nannan,Grandad, Karen, Shane and my cousins, Jodie, Carl and David, so you could see how pretty it was there.

There were all kinds of squirrels everywhere too, they were really funny little buggers. Here's one that wanted to come home with us I think! Hehehe!

We spent around 2 hours walking the trail, here are some pictures of a sign that shows you how far we walked. We walked the Seal Trail, which is indicated by the yellow line.

It was a really nice adventure with Mommy and Daddy, and boy oh boy, I was quite sleepy once we reached the end of the trail...but even though I was sleepy...I was STILL smiling! :)

Something else that we did recently, was to take a trip to New River Beach with Nanny, Papa and Auntie Kelsie. It was a bit overcast that day, and not super warm by the ocean, but we still had a really great time. Here are some shots of the beach.

They all kept telling me to touch it...but I still wasn't too sure!

Finally, I gave it a go...

....and it turned out to be not so bad afterall, infact, I quite liked it!

After we left the beach, Mommy and Daddy took me and Kelsie for ice cream, well, Kelsie anyway, I'm still too little! Hehehe! While we were there, we got to take some pictures with our heads through this funny sign.

Hahaha...this one's FUNNY...um...Daddy...I'm slipping! Hahaha!

Intellitainer Time!
